2010 Church Christmas Party
Sunday night, December 5th was an evening to remember!  The 2010 Adult Christmas Banquet was a time of great food, genuine fellowship, and lots of laughs..  Hosted by the Gates Four Country Club, over 200 people from the First Church family were on hand for this special event.  The attendees enjoyed special holiday music courtesy of our guest, classical guitarist Donnie Walker, from the queen city of Charlotte.  Amongst the various group games was a special Christmas edition of "American Idol", where our contestants were asked to sing a familiar carol---in a foreign language! 

The fun didn't stop there.  We enjoyed our annual visit from the legendary Elvis Presley, and were overwhelmed by the sophisticated talent and grace of our first time guest:  the dynamic Mariah Carey-oke!

2010 Fall Festival A Huge Success
What a great time we had on Friday at our 4th annual Fall Festival. A great assortment of entertainment was provided from the "Monkey House" for the youngest to the "Mechanical Bull" for those who think that they still are . We want to say thank you to all who came out and made our Fall Festival a huge success. Check out the pics!



65 Receive Holy Ghost | October 24th
What a wonderful day at First Church Fayetteville. Evangelist David Smith joined us for 3 dynamic services resulting in 65 people receiving the Holy Ghost. David Smith has been a regular at First over the last few years and has really connected with our community. His ministry came on the heels of our recent series, The Talk, where we saw over 130 first-time guests in 5 weeks.

The evening of laughter and fine dining came to a close with a chorus of Christmas carols, as well as a special time of giving honor to the men and women who serve in a number of leadership capacities at First Church.  It was a special night, and one that you should plan to be a part of in 2011!

Five Days of Power: Tim Downs Revival
For the second year in a row First Church Fayetteville experienced a revival that can be summed up on one word: WOW!

Evangelist Tim Downs rolled into town on May 12 to begin what would be a life changing experience for many in the Fayetteville area. Preceded by many days of prayer and fasting, the event saw vans loaded with committed saints hit the streets with flyers and fruit snacks for the community.

As new contacts were made hungry souls were brought immediately back to church to be baptized and prayed with. Sunday, May 16th wrapped up the event with a special “Blessing the Community” service with powerful preaching and special giveaways.

At the end of it all, 149 people were Baptized in Jesus’ Name and over 30 were filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost. We can’t wait to see what happens next!
