What We Believe
As a Christian church, we believe that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. For this reason we approach church with the same fervency, expectation, and enthusiasm as the Book of Acts church - a pentecostal church. We worship the Lord with energy and excitement according to many Biblical examples. For us, worship extends beyond our church services and takes place in our everyday lives.
We believe God is one as taught in the Bible. This God is all knowing, all-powerful and ever present.
We believe God created all things perfectly. However, the entrance of sin brought death, both spiritually and naturally. Thankfully Jesus Christ came and gave Himself to restore that original relationship back to its perfect state.
Because of this sacrifice we have access to the grace of God and salvation for eternity. This "good news" is known as the Gospel. The Bible teaches us the Gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We identify with this sacrifice through the process of repentance (death), baptism (burial), and in receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost (resurrection). This experience is available to all.
We believe the body of Christ is made up of many people, all of whom are necessary. Just as in the early Christian church, everyone has a place at First Church Fayetteville.
